• Is water still running or backing up?
• Is the home older, newer, a townhome or on a crawl space?
• What times fit your day?

Your answers help the provider decide what to bring and how to plan the visit. If you have a family routine to protect, say so. Many providers will work around school pickups, remote work calls and naps.

While you wait, a few simple steps can limit the mess. Shut off the water at the fixture or the main valve if you can find it. Stop using drains that are backing up.
